Megan Follows

Megan played Juliet in Romeo and Juliet at the Stratford Shakespeare Festival in Ontario.

Megan played Anne in Anne of Green Gables and its sequels, starting in 1985.

Megan's stage debut was in 1988 in a production of The Effects of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds which also starred her mother Dawn and sister Samantha.

After her parents' divorce at the age of 11, Megan moved to Los Angeles to attend school and act.

Her parents Ted Follows and Dawn Greenhalgh, both actors themselves, were part of the founding members of Canada's summer theatre culture.

She co-hosted the Canadian show Going Great.

She got her acting break on the hit television show, The Facts of Life in April 1982.

In August 2005, she starred in the four-person play Fool For Love as part of the Soulpepper Theatre's summer season at the Harbourfront Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

She is the youngest of three children.

Her favorite actor she ever worked with was Colleen Dewhurst who played "Marilla" in Anne of Green Gables.

She appeared in her first commercial at the age of 9.

Megan has dual Canadian and American citizenship.

Has two children, a daughter Lyla Ann and a son Russell.

Is currently engaged to actor Stuart Hughes, but no wedding has been set.

Won two Gemini Awards (Canadian Emmys) for her role as Anne Shirley in Anne of Green Gables and Anne of Green Gables: The Sequel.

Her name is pronounced "Mee-gan", not like most say "Megan".
