Melanie Griffith

Melanie is the daughter of actress Tippi Hedren.



When she made her screen debut in Night Moves (1975), she was already a divorcée, having married actor Don Johnson as a teenager. She met him in 1973 when he was starring with her mother in The Harrad Experiment. Melanie was on set as an extra.



In 1978, Melanie was seriously injured wnen she was hit by a car outside a restaurant on Sunset Boulevard.



She struggled with substance-abuse problems before getting her career back on track in the 1980's. The part of an ambitious secretary in Working Girl earned her an Oscar nomination and a BAFTA Award.



After her first marriage to actor Don Johnson ended, she married Steven Bauer (1980-1987), then Don Johnson again (1989-1996) and finally Antonio Banderas (1996- ).



She has three children, Alexander Bauer, Dakota Johnson and Stella del Carmen Banderas.
