Melanie's wonderful on-stage musical experience in "Annie", playing the lead--role, and the experience of playing "Young Cosette" at the Isabel Bader Theatre's "Les Miserables" (School Edition) along with many other performing and singing opportunities for her local church, theaters and school, led her into the world of auditioning for commercials and film. She began her professional acting career by performing in numerous national commercials.

Her decision to give voice-work a try has proven very successful and Melanie can be heard on several radio and TV commercials. Melanie's voice is also known in many TV series, playing the lead role of Lizbeth in YTV's animation series titled, "Captain Flamingo", Rickie in WB's "Da Boom Crew", Tina Monkey in "Save-Ums, Kayla in "Miss BG" and Princess Sparkle in "Spider Riders". She has voiced guest spots in "Franny's Feet", "Atomic Betty", "DiGata Defenders", "Peep and the Big Wide World" and "Time Warp Trio".

Melanie has also had the honor of working with world famous stars such as: Julianne Moore and Woody Harrelson in an upcoming movie titled: "The Prizewinner of Defiance, Ohio" where she plays the role of Barbara: eighth child of the ten children of Evelyn Ryan - of whom the film tells the inspirational true story. She has also worked with Cameron Bright of "Godsend" and Mila Jovovich and Oded Fehr of "Resident Evil, Apocalypse".

Off-camera, Melanie is a fun-loving and happy-spirited teenager who enjoys singing, dancing and writing her own songs, stories, scripts and poems.
