  • Melissa: (On the possiblity of more kids) I'm looking forward to two more (babies) in my thirties. Every time I do an interview...it always comes off like I'm desperate to have another one right away, but I'm not! I'd like to have a girl and I'd like for her to have a sister.

    []
  • Melissa: (On what her workout is like) My trainer is a good friend, but he's an amazing trainer, and he really pushes me. Even when I was like, 'I don't want to be pushed too much. I'm not going to come back if you keep pushing me, he pushed me.' He loves treadmill stuff, but I don't like treadmill, so he had me do spinning about 30 minutes a day, and then for [another] 30 minutes, we'd do some floor exercises and abs and stuff. And, of course, it took me a while to get started on the abs. []
  • Melissa: What I've really discovered about my career is that I have the greatest fans, people are constantly writing to ask when I'm going to do something again. []
  • Melissa: My goal is to have another show. I'd love to have a sitcom. That is the best schedule in the business for a mom. []
  • Melissa: I'd say that's fine [if her kids wanted to act], but I always want to stress education with them. He would need to finish high school and at least attempt college. I wouldn't want to be a hypocrite -- [I dropped out of NYU before I finished my degree] -- but I would want them to at least give their education a shot. []
  • Melissa: I'm creating a workout plan with my trainer, Mark Harari, at Pulse Fitness Studio. We're trying to balance how much I hate cardio with the things I enjoy a bit more! I really want to focus on muscle tone. Last time I lost so much weight chasing after Mason, but I didn't have any sort of definition. []
  • Melissa: First time around, I was so scared by everything and was so inconvenienced. I didn't really know how to picture a baby inside me. I only saw the outward things. I was fat, I couldn't move the way I wanted to, I had heartburn, my feet hurt, it was very awkward. I was so scared and so I just laid in bed and ate a lot.

The second time, I was chasing a 2-year-old all over the place, lifting 30 lb. Mason and carrying him around and I was working and trying to hide it from the industry for the first trimester. Sucking it in and trying to eat really healthy so I didn't gain too much in the first 20 weeks really made a difference this whole pregnancy. []
  • Melissa: I want to give these two some attention and some time. I would love more kids though -- I'd love two little sisters for these guys. I want to wait until my late thirties though. Mark would probably like to stop at these two or maybe three, but I came from a big family so I would love four. I'm not sure I want two more births though, so we may have to adopt at one point! I need some more time to forget this experience though. I think you just go, "Okay, this is going to be rough for about 24 more hours and then I'll be okay!"

    []
  • Melissa: Mark wouldn't read any of the daddy books or anything. I'm the oldest of seven, he's the youngest of three. And somehow, he picked it all up just like that. He's just so innate. Go figure!

    []
  • Melissa: Mark is up every morning at six with Mason, makes breakfast, makes me breakfast for whenever I get up -- the dogs are fed, the pots are clean. He really takes care of things. I never expected to have this much help!

    []
  • Melissa: I have this wonderful, handsome husband who is a really amazing father. My husband is a man's man. I've never seen straight men have a man crush the way they do on my husband. They will constantly say, "Will you have your husband call me?" []
  • Melissa: With Mason, we were really decided. We were down to Mason and Desi, and then my good friend Jaime Pressly named her child Dezi and we decided not to use it, even though she said it was okay. So Mason it was. With Brady, we had about six different names and then we'd throw another one into the rotation every couple of weeks. It was finally a combination of Braedin, a name I loved, and Braylin, a football player Mark loved. So Braydon it is, but we call him Brady.

    []
  • Melissa: Both pregnancies were traumatizing. I've just realized there is no way to bring a baby into the world and have it not be a traumatic experience. After both all I could say was "intense." That is really the only word that sums it up! It's just a difficult thing to do. []
  • Melissa: My recovery was so much better this time around. I did the birth drug-free, and I'm not sure if it is because I did it drug-free or because he was my second baby, but I am up and about much easier this time. Last time I was unable to get out of bed for about eight weeks! []
  • Melissa: Thank you everyone for the lovely comments about my cute boys with the cool names. :) I was just checking out the website and I noticed some comments about my quote in People saying I would like a girl next [and I want to clear that up].

Of course, I didn't volunteer that info -- they asked if I would have any more kids. I said I think so and that I would love to try for a girl, but either way, we would like to have one or two more if my body can handle it and we don't really care either way what sex they are -- they will still be my babies. However, only the first part of what I said was used in the article. []
  • Melissa: The second I saw my two boys together, I started crying. Your love multiplies with each child. I didn't know I could be this in love again. []
  • Melissa: Mason loves to give Braydon his pacifier. Mark feeds him all the time. []
  • Melissa: (On her family) Between all my boys, I've literally grown three hearts! []
  • Melissa: (talking about baby Braydon) This has been a long but exciting pregnancy, and we along with Mason are excited to add to the Wilkerson clan. []
  • Melissa: (Braydon's delivery) Thank you all! He's so cute and I can't believe I did it au naturel. My hubby and mom were amazing coaches and got this little man to come out with no drug help at all! Such a different experience than Mason. The body is a wonder. []
  • Melissa: (on her personality) I'm a pretty open person. Like, if I have good sex, then the next day I'm going to tell everyone I know about it.

    []
  • Melissa: When I was shooting Drive Me Crazy, I wanted to go out with the rest of the cast and stay up late and play air hockey. I just wanted to have fun. []
  • Melissa: When I shared a room with my sister Trisha, we drew a line down the middle. She had Laura Ashley stuff with flowers everywhere, and her whole side of the room was white, while my side of the room was painted, freaky and covered with stuff.

    []
  • Melissa: It started when I raced in the Long Beach Celebrity Grand Prix. It changed my life. Racing proved to me that, even if I start with baby steps, I can learn to do anything. []
  • Melissa: I get pressure from my audience and my agents to be a 'good girl,' and I'm in the public eye, so if I mess up, it's going to be all over the place. []
  • Melissa: Comedy's easy for me now - it's all about timing and the way you deliver lines. I use facial expressions to get the point across. []
  • Melissa: It's hard when you look a certain way. I look All-American, sweet, girl-next-door, so naturally those are the parts that are going to land on my doorstep. []
