Melissa:(On receiving attention from men as a young model in Paris) The French guys are total perverts! They used to follow us back home, to where the models were staying and jack-off outside the window. They'd try to pull down your skirt in the subway, it's really just Parisian men. If you're American, they think you're easy. Unfortunately, I was blond and American, so I was screwed either way.

Melissa:(On how being famous has affected her life) My life's not any different, I don't think I'm really in the spotlight. Sometimes people recognize me, but I haven't done a lot yet. I'm one of those up-and-coming people, so I don't feel that pressure a lot. It's all in how you deal with it, some people freak out, others can handle it. Like Jack Nicholson, or Matthew Broderick…they handle it so well.

Melissa: I had this gym teacher who would drink cartons of milk and yell at us with it all over his lips. I don't drink milk to this day because I was traumatized. It's always the gym teachers who are freaks.
-
Melissa:(On how her modeling career ended) My junior year, they told me, 'You're going to Japan.' And I said, 'Actually, I'm going to the University of Virginia to drink beer.'
-
Melissa: A lot of those girls get opportunities they shouldn't just because they're hot.
-
Melissa: I'm very ticklish. They say being tickled is a form of torture.
-
Melissa: It's cool, it's hard work, but you do get to play, which is great.
-
Melissa: I've been doing stage stuff since I was 9. It's something I've always wanted to do.
-
Melissa: I've always gone out with starving artists, so it's more what they've done for me.
-
Melissa: Anyone can express themselves the way they want.
-
Melissa: People have said that I'm vaguely attractive, even though I'm a dork, I don't know...
-
Melissa: That sort of describes me, actually, I'm a nerdy dork, and I like to have fun.
-
Melissa: I think they're cool...I like glasses.
-
Melissa (about wearing glasses): It's like that sexy librarian thing.
-
Melissa: I have some surprises coming up that I can't talk about...yet...
-
Melissa (about the glasses she wears in the movie Sorority Boys): Just props. I bought them years ago when I had to audition for "smart" roles…since they don't think blondes are "brainy."
-
Melissa: I love comedy too, and it's great to both and mix it up, but I really love drama.
-
Melissa: I like drama. My first movie that I did, Soul Survivors, was a drama and I'm just drawn to that, that's sort of my forte.
-
Melissa: It would be great to be the opposite sex and see what it's like.
-
Melissa: We don't have royalty like other countries, so they have to idolize something else, put something on a pedestal.
-
Melissa: I was a tom-girl when I was growing up.
