Meredith Salenger was born and raised in Malibu, California. She loves performing befront of her friends and family. At the age of eight, she decided to become an actress. Soon came her profession role - she was discovered by John Huston, a legendary director. She won an award for "Best Actress in Drama" at the Youth in Film Awards for her portrayal of Natty Gann in movie "The Journey of Natty Gann". Later she was nominated for "Best Actress in Youth in Film" for "Dream a Little Dream". From 1988-1992 she attended Harvard University and she graduated with a degree in Psychology.
