  • Quotes

    • Mia: I think some actors have exploited their philanthropic efforts to promote a film.

    • Mia: I don't care if people think I'm gay. Gender is of no consequence to me. It's a person's brain that counts.

    • Mia: (on being misquoted as having a fantasy to kiss a woman on screen) That I didn't say. I'd never say that. Anyway, kissing a woman is the same as kissing a man when the camera's running.

    • Mia: (advice to guys who want to who hook up with girls like her) Be bold, and get to the point. Life is too short, guys. And, yeah, skip those opening lines.

    • Mia: Clothes are frivolous, but it's sometimes a way of expressing yourself, and essential to a character.

    • Mia: I think that actors often exercise their own curiosities and thought processes when they take on a role.

    • Mia: I don't know anything about comedy and I have no idea what's funny and what's not and it's still one big mystery to me. I'm completely in awe of actors who are funny.

    • Mia: (on how her career has turned out so far) I can say this that I'm stronger as an actress, more confident as an actress and I love my job more than I've ever loved my job.

    • Mia: I've definitely done a number of roles that were sexual in nature. I think it might have reflected a period in my life. But my interests have changed.

    • Mia: I think that when you're playing somebody that existed, and beyond that someone whose life ended in such a brutal fashion, I feel a tremendous responsibility to honour her humanity.

    • Mia: (On nudity) It's so much harder to keep your clothes on than take them off in this business. Even in Exotica, they wanted more nudity, but I didn't feel comfortable.

    • Mia: It's not me to sleep with loads of men, but I do believe in having different experiences. At the end of the day, the nicest thing is the old-fashioned one-on-one.
