Born on June 19 in Brooklyn Heights, New York, Mia Sara won her first feature starring role at the age of 17, debuting as 'Princess Lili' in Ridley Scott's fairy tale adventure 'Legend' alongside Tom Cruise. Later that year, she also won her most famous role to date - that of Ferris Bueller's girlfriend Sloane in his 'Day Off'. After a long career in smaller productions in film and television, she married Jason Connery (Sean Connery's son, who has a recurring role on the WB's 'Smallville') since March 1996. Another work of notoriety is the 1994 film 'Timecop' with Jean Claude Van-Damme. Mia won the "Best Supporting Actress" Saturn award from the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror Films for her performance in this film, cementing a place in science fiction history.

Mia has two Wheaton terriers. Her hobbies include reading and flying. Sometime around the filming of Timecop, Mia took flight training and received her private pilot's license.

    a better actress then given credit for being. hide show

    mia sara usually gives a good, honest performance
    in ant project she is in. jack and the beanstalk was one of her better performances, and she made
    an excellent harley in birds of prey! i'm happy
    to see that she has begun to act again, even though i missed her appearence in csi.ny i'll
    look for it in rerun season, and await her next acting appearence.
