Michael Bowen, born on June 21, 1953, is an American film and television actor. He was born to actress Sonia Sorel and painter Michael Bowen Jr., in Texas, USA. Apart from his mother who was an actress, two of his nieces, Ever Carridine and Martha Plimpton are actresses and his half-brothers, Keith Carridine and Robert Carridine are also actors. Since 1982, Bowen has been active as an actor. In 1983, he was featured in Valley Girl, where he played Tommy, the good-looking, handsome and popular gentleman whose girlfriend was the Valley Girl Julie Richman. In 1997, he played Pam Grier in Jackie Brown, a crime film written and directed by Quentin Tarantino. Though a veteran actor, Bowen had not performed a leading role in many years. Starring in Jackie Brown therefore revitalized his acting career and he even got nominated for a Golden Globes Award. Other films he has appeared include Less Than Zero, Magnolia, and Cabin Fever 2: Spring Fever, where he played Principal Sinclair. In the TV series Lost, Bowen also had the opportunity to play a recurring role as Danny Pickett.
