Michael: I was a fat kid growing up, I was the fat kid in the back of the classroom that had no friends. I was a very feminine guy growing up because my mom worked in a hair salon and I didn't have guy friends. So I was very sensitive and I would cry a lot. But my step dad pushed me to do more sports and become more masculine than I was. Guys would joke on me and then I was every girl's best friend. It wasn't until my 9th or 10th grade year that I lost weight and started playing football and things changed.
Michael: My aunt owns a Filipino restaurant down in Orange County, and I've been there many times. I always hang out with my Filipino friends and cousins in San Diego.
Michael: I trust in God. I believe that he put me on this path.
Michael: I've learned a lot about Manila so much through her and I'm just so excited to go next year: nice beaches, pretty girls, and I heard houses there are also cheaper. I want to visit my relatives too.
Michael: My [Filipina] step-mom would always tell me, 'You should go there in the Philippines, and you'll be a star in a second!'
Michael: Yeah, I was born in Virginia, you know, my old Filipino grandfather was in the Navy.
