Michael is an American actor best known for his long-running portrayal of Tad Martin on ABC's daytime drama "All My Children," a role which he took over from another actor in 1983 and left in 1986, only to return in 1988, leave again in 1990, and then return permanently in 1992. He won three Daytime Emmy Awards for his portrayal of Tad. Michael was married to a fellow soap opera actress Catherine Hickland from 1992 to 2006.

    Best known as Tad Martin on the daytime soap "All my Children." hide show

    Michael Knight is a brilliant actor, one of the best AMC veterans out there. He's won a few Emmys and needs to add an Emmy for Best Leading Actor to his collection. Nobody can do Tad Martin as well as Michael and nobody ever will. He makes Tad Martin the overall most likable character on AMC.
