  • The Lillian Verner Game Show Announcer!

    9.5
    "Superb"
I took notice of this actor after seeing him on MadTV's Lillian Verner Game Show. His character is so hilarious and memorable, I had to find out who he was. I didn't even realize that I'd seen him in all of the Christopher Guest movies. Great character actor! I'll keep looking for him.
  • ONE OF HOLLYWOOD'S BEST COMIC CHARACTER ACTORS

    9.5
    "Superb"
I fell in love with Michael Hitchcock's work after seeing his brilliant portrayal of a misunderstood, passionate, perhaps even a little crazy pharmacist in Christopher Guest's comic masterpiece "Waiting for Guffman." Since then Hitchcock's performances have continued to delight me. Playing Parker Posey's anal husband in "Best in Show," and Bob Balaban's whipping boy in "A Mighty Wind", Hitchcock continues to be perhaps my favorite actor in the Guest comedies. His appearance as the accountant "Ira Gilligan" on "Arrested Development" was hilarious, and I hope they bring him back for more episodes. Even in mediocre films like "Heartbreakers," Hitchcock elevates the material. He has never failed to put a smile on my face.
