Michelle Hurd was the daughter of the late Hugh Hurd, who was a civil rights activist and film and stage actor. Michelle graduated from Saint Anne's School in 1984 and also graduated from Boston University Acting School in 1988. After graduating, Hurd went on to perform in the National Theatre of Great Britain.

Hurd also performed on Broadway. Her Broadway debut was in the performance Getting Away With Murder. Hurd's other Broadway performances include "Othello," "Hunchback of Notre Dame," "AMI," "Hot Keys," "Hamlet," "The Constant Couple," and "900 Oneonta." She won

… More many awards, such as the Robby Award and a California Theatre award for best supporting actress in Richard Greenberg's "The Violet Hour".

Michelle starred in several films, including Justice League of America, Random Hearts, and Dead Silence.

Michelle’s tv guest appearances include "Law & Order," "The Cosby Mysteries," "Single Life," "Players," "The Fugitive," "Charmed," "The O.C.," "Kevin Hill" and "Bones." She’s had recurring roles in "New York Undercover," "The Practice," "Malcolm & Eddie," "Skin," "According To Jim" and she had a regular/recurring role in "Law & Order: SVU." Michelle starred in the Showtime series "Leap Years" and the daytime drama "Another World."

Michell Hurd is a damn good actress. hide show

I love Michelle Hurd. She's a beautiful woman and a damn good actress.
She was great on Law and Order SVU. I think it would have been great to keep both Ice T and her on the show. Maybe she could come back this time as FBI, a higher rank then the brass that let her go. Or maybe show up on Criminal Intenet. It needs the help! yeah I know Chris Noth is on it now. I still love SVU but wish she was there.
She was good on the OC and pretty funny on According to Jim! But my favorite was on Charmed, she kicked ass!

Miheal Hurd is a very good actress and she did do good being partners with munch. hide show

She was great with the cast of law and order svu.she did a teriffic job being partners with munch and having to put up with elliot.I kind of wish that thy didn't let her go.Only keep her and bring fin in for back up.I hope that she will be on another episode soon.
