    • Michelle's hobbies include hiking and traveling. She also enjoys gardening.

    • When asked in the Haruhi interview whether she prefers Steve Jobs or Bill Gates, Michelle mentions that she is a Mac person.

    • Michelle is featured in a video interview in The Adventures of the ASOS Brigade Ep 004.2, a bonus feature found on The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya DVD Volume 3. She is interviewed by the chararacter she plays, Yuki Nagato.

    • Michelle Ruff was nominated, at the first ever American Anime Awards, for Best Actress for her work in Bleach, and Lupin the Third. She was also nominated for Best Actress in a Comedy for her work in Lupin the Third. These awards were hosted in New York City on Feb 24 2007.

    • Michelle attended only one major convention in 2006 as an official guest, and that was MikomiCon 2006, a sci-fi/anime/gaming convention held in Northridge, California. This marked the first american voice actor panel for the anime Bleach where she participated in along with fellow actor Johnny Yong Bosch who plays Ichigo.

      She also attended Anime Expo 2006 as part of the panel for the anime GunXSword.

    • According to her myspace, Michelle's favorite TV shows include: Dexter, Six Feet Under, Entourage, House, Chappelle's Show, MADtv, Medium, Grey's Anatomy, and Ugly Betty.

    • Michelle has participated in video games, not only as her cartoon characters like in Zatch Bell Mamodo Fury or Lupin the Third: Treasure of the Sorceror King, but also RPG's such as the .hack series, Grandia III, Suikoden IV, Star Ocean: Till the End of Time, Shadow Hearts. She also voices secret character Sun Shang Xiang in various versions of the beat-'em-up Dynasty Warriors 4 and Dynasty Warriors 5 series.

    • At an interview at Otakon 2005, Michelle said she would love to visit Japan, and had not been to Asia before.

    • Unlike many of her fellow voice actors, Michelle attended only three conventions from 2003-2005.

    • According to an interview at Otakon 2005, Michelle was once married and they moved from Chicago to the Los Angeles area so her husband could pursue better camera work opportunities in the industry. This turned out to be a fortunate move career-wise as the growing dub company Bang Zoom Entertainment is located in the area, and she has done much of her early anime voice acting there.

    • Michelle's earliest convention appearance was at Sakura-Con 2003, located in the Seattle area.

    • When Michelle auditioned for Bleach, she tried out for all the female characters with minimal preparation. She currently voices two of its main characters, Rukia and Yuzu.

    • Out of her numerous voice acting roles, Michelle's favorites have been Chi in Chobits, Naomi in Zatch Bell, and Fujiko in Lupin the Third.

    • While Michelle was in college, she worked at a talent agency and her boss recommended her to audition for a radio spot that she booked.

    • Michelle has lent her voice talent into children's toys such as the Nora doll in Bratz, Picture Professor, Playskool Talking Discovery Doodler, and Deluxe Dear Diary.

    • Michelle is 5'3" with brown hair.

    • Michelle graduated with a Bachelor's Degree from Michigan State University (Lansing, Michigan) in 1991 with a specialty in radio and video production.

    • Michelle's non-anime TV roles include CSI, Without a Trace, Smallville, and Scrubs, although her roles there have been mostly voiceovers.

    • Michelle trained at the Chicago Theatre and Improvisation, Second City, Players Workshop, and Improv Olympic.

    • Michelle first got into voice acting for animes from return contacts and training with voice and TV directors Richard Epcar, Steve Kramer, and Michael Sorich.
