Mickey Jones is an American musician - turned actor born on June 10, 1941 in Houston, Texas to Fred Edward Jones and Frances Marie Jones. He was a career drummer who backed up artists such as Bob Dylan, Trini Lopez and Johnny Rivers. Jones also worked with Kenny Rogers in the band The First Edition which recorded several international hits. When The First Edition broke up in 1975, Jones devoted time to developing a career in acting by appearing in various film and TV productions. One of his starring roles was as Chester in the 1980 short television series Flo. He was later cast as Chris Farber in the mini series V. He also played a recurring role in the series Home Improvement. The ever-smiling bearded actor has featured in about 100 film and television productions. His most recent works include Downstream, Necrosis, High Desert, Corners, Simple Things, Penny Dreadful, No Direction Home: Bob Dylan, Iowa, Bob Dylan - World Tour 1966: The Home Movies and The Fighting Temptations.
