Mike is a professional wrestling referee for the WWE and began working for them in the old WWF in the 1980's. He got interested in wrestling because he lived near Gorilla Monsoon and his son Joey Marella. Joey trained Mike for the squared circle and he was a professional wrestling referee for the WWF from 1986 up until his untimely passing at the age of 30 in 1994 as a result of an automobile accident.
