Biography:

Minerva Urecal is an American actress who was born in 1984 and died in 1966. Before Urecal began acting, she was a radio and stage performer. She began acting in films in 1933 and had several uncredited roles in which she played such characters as secretaries, frontierswomen or maids. During her early career, she was often compared to and confused with actresses Marie Dressler and Marjorie Main, as they had similar looks, were close in age and played many of the same character roles. In the 1950's Urecal began acting in television shows, most commonly Westerns. She made appearances on the shows My Friend Flicka, The Range Rider, and Meet Mr. McNutley. She also had a starring TV role in The Adventures of Tugboat Annie. She also played the role of "Mother" on the show Peter Gunn from 1959 to 1960. Although she dated often, Urecal never married. She died alone from a heart attack in Glendale, California at the age of 71.
