Mireille Enos was born on September, 1975 in Houston Texas. She followed in the footsteps of her older siblings and attended The High School for the Performing & Visual Arts. She moved to NYC prior to graduating from Brigham Young University. She sought roles in the theater, ultimately obtaining the coveted role of Honey, in Edward Albee's play, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf. She received a Tony Award nomination for her performance in that role. Deciding to broaden her horizons, Ms. Enos sought acting work in movies and television. Prior to her role in The Killing, she may have been best known for playing the twins, Kathy and Jodean Marquart in the HBO series, Big Love. Mireille Enos is a Mormon and is married to the actor Alan Ruck.
