In 2006, while making a promotional appearance on Japanese TV, she helped out with a couple of magic tricks. The first was a card trick, while in the second, she was sawed in half in an illusion called Clearly Impossible.
In January 2010, Mischa was reportedly sued by the landlord of her New York apartment for three months unpaid rent. In common with many other cast members of The Beautiful Life, Mischa had rented an apartment in the city as somewhere to live while filming there. When the show was cancelled, she was left with a rented apartment she didn't really need and so tried to cancel the rental agreement - Many of the other cast members also found themselves having legal action taken against them by their landlords for unpaid rent or breach of contract, but Mischa's higher public profile and recent health problems led to her being the focus of media attention for the story.
She has her own line of handbags, launched in July 2008 in association with online retailer ASOS.com. In December 2008, she also launched her own headband line in association with Stacy Lapidus.
In 2006, she spent two months in London attending a summer course in Shakespeare at the Royal Acadamy of Dramatic Arts (RADA). Director Sir Richard Attenborough suggested the course to her after directing her in the movie Closing the Ring.

She was born in the same London hospital as her Notting Hill co-star Hugh Grant.
Prior to the start of filming for The Beautiful Life, she agreed to have her ears pierced for the first time in her life. She had them done especially so that she could, when required for scenes such as fashion shows, wear the same type of pierced earrings as the other female cast members also playing models.
Mischa was arrested on December 27, 2007 for suspicion of driving under the influence, possession of marijuana and a controlled substance as well as driving without a valid license. In April 2008, she pleaded "no contest" to the charges. As a result of a plea deal, the marijuana and controlled substance charges were dropped and the charge of driving without a valid license reduced from a misdemeanor to an infraction. She was sentenced to three years unsupervised probation, had to pay around $1,700 in fines, and was ordered to complete a three-month alcohol education class.
In 2007, Mischa briefly dated magician Brandon Silverfield. They met when Mischa agreed to make a one-off special guest appearance in Brandon's Las Vegas magic show, during which she took part in two illusions. In the first, she was beheaded by a very realistic guillotine, which caused a degree of shock when the blade fell and Mischa's head apparently dropped into the basket. In the second, called The Impossible Sawing, she was sawed in half by a large circular saw and her halves pulled apart without any covering over her waist.
In February 2007, Mischa crashed Nicole Richie's car. After dropping Nicole off at a tanning salon, Mischa bumped Nicole's car into another. Mischa exchanged insurance details with the couple in the other car, before quickly moving on.
Mischa was the second actor cast for The O.C.. The first was Peter Gallagher. In 2006, Mischa left The O.C. to pursue a movie career. Before it was cancelled, thousands of fans wanted her to return to the series, but she said that she had already died in the series, and that she wanted to participate in other projects.
Mischa became a naturalized citizen of the United States in Los Angeles on 3 February 2006, but has also retained her British citizenship.

Mischa has always hoped to attend Yale University.
Mischa graduated from the Professional Children's School in Manhattan in 2004. She has always hoped to attend Yale University some time in the future.
Mischa is 5'9" tall.
Mischa had a quite embarrassing moment... In the episode The Anger Management from The O.C., her nipple showed for a split second. Many fans of the show were outraged, and the FCC was called to investigate.
Mischa: I know I sometimes get people saying 'what was she thinking wearing that?' But the truth is I'm happy with what I wear, and feel comfortable wearing it, so does it really matter what others think?
Mischa: (On how she ended up being sawed in half by a Japanese magician in 2006) He started off by showing me a card trick, which was really cool and totally fooled me. Then he asked if I'd be happy to help him out with another trick, and I thought it would be another card trick or something like that, so I said 'yes'. But, when they rolled the box out onto the stage, I knew that someone was going to get sawed in half, and I was pretty sure it wasn't going to be him!
Mischa: I'm really bad with technology and hardly use the Internet at all. I'm OK with texting on my phone, but that's about it for technology and me.
Mischa: When I was young I used to steal props from film sets. I got some really cool things from The Sixth Sense and Notting Hill, but Lawn Dogs was the best, as I just raided my character's bedroom. I got a brilliant Slugger baseball bat that I hang on to and adore.
Mischa: A lot of people don't realize it, but I actually play several instruments including the guitar, which I'm learning at the moment. I've got a Les Paul, and I love playing it when I can. The only problem is that my hands are far too little for me to be that good on it – I haven't even nailed Stairway To Heaven yet!
Mischa: I always seem to be drawn to slightly dark-sided men, but I like them to be super-intelligent rather than Greek gods. Muscles are OK, but brains are better, last longer, and are more interesting. And I also like them to be confident, but not arrogant – that's a huge turn-off – and have a great sense of humor.
Mischa: I'm pretty klutzy on set and always bumping into things and stuff like that. Off-camera there tends to be a lot of bets between the crew on how I will hurt myself next. There were times when people had taken bets on exactly how I would injure myself in certain shots that were more physically challenging.
Mischa: I do look at the new collections each season, but I don't always follow trends. Instead, I just tend to wear what I like. I'd like to think I have developed my own sense of style and, as I've got older, it has become more defined and consistent.
Mischa: I really love fashion, I always have, but I've always been a bit of a goofball free spirit and really into trying new things. My style is such a juxtaposition between like, really high-end stuff and quite clean-cut in a way and then a totally different English classic. I'm obsessed with vintage, like I love my '20s, '40s, '60s, '70s pieces. You name it, I've got it.
Mischa: (On what qualities she'd want in her husband) I definitely look for a guy who makes me laugh, and who doesn't take himself too seriously. A perfect husband should also be caring, attentive and supportive.
Mischa: (On her dream wedding) I grew up in New York and for me this is still one of my favorite cities in the world, so I would definitely consider getting married in the Big Apple. I want my wedding to be classic, beautiful and elegant but I also want it to be fun! And I love color, so that will play a big part.
Mischa: I'm very private. I like the mystery in people's lives, not what they show others.
Mischa: I guess the thing that's surprised me the most about having pierced ears is how much more comfortable pierced earrings are to wear compared with clip-ons. With clip-ons, they tend to pinch your earlobes and, after a couple of hours, you have to take them off and give your earlobes a rest. Before I got my ears pierced, I thought that pierced earrings would be really uncomfortable to wear, and that you'd feel them going through your earlobes all the time, but that's not true - In fact, I've found them so comfortable to wear that, when I'm wearing studs, I often forget that I've got them in and end up getting into bed wearing them, and it's not until I feel the posts sticking into my neck that I remember and take them out. They really are so easy and comfortable to wear, I wish I'd had my ears pierced years ago!
Mischa: (On finally having her ears pierced) It definitely does still feel a bit strange to have them done, and I'm still getting used to changing earrings - It still feels really weird to be pushing bits of metal through holes in my earlobes that weren't there a few weeks back, and actually seeing and feeling the holes in my lobes is still a bit freaky. But I'm slowly getting used to having pierced ears, and I'm glad I did get them done because I'm having loads of fun buying and trying all different kinds of earrings.
Mischa: Of course you want to be strong. You want to be, like, 'Oh I don't give a f**k what they say about me. I don't care if they're saying that I look a bit pudgy right now or that I'm too skinny.' What is going to be perfect for these people? You have to come to the conclusion that there is no perfect. When are they actually going to be, like, 'Right, so she's figured it out?' Never.
Mischa: My character on The O.C. was fit, she had to look great, she was that skinny rich bitch and I was right under the scrutiny of the paparazzi and it affected me more than I let on.
Mischa: (Talking about her DUI arrest) I was pulled over... just that. Obviously, I'm 100 percent responsible for my actions in this case and I'm really disappointed in myself... I don't know what to say about it, except that I'm not perfect and I just don't ever intend to do something this stupid again.
Mischa: (Speaking about her break-up with Kooks singer Luke Pritchard) I think Luke is a great guy, but the type better suited as a friend. We have a surprising amount of mutual friends in England and I don't regret our time together, I just couldn't keep it going.
Mischa: (On her July 2009 hospitalisation) The funny thing is, if all this happened in New York, no one would care. New York lets you be who you are, and people aren't as judgmental. I'm so glad to be back here.
Mischa: (Speaking in 2003) No, my ears aren't pierced. I've thought about having them done a few times, and almost done it a couple of times - but I'm such a chicken when it comes to pain and backed out each time! I'd like to get them done, because it can be so difficult getting good clip-ons, and I guess I probably will at some point, but no, they're not pierced at the moment.
Mischa: When I signed up for The Beautiful Life and we were discussing costumes for Sonja, they asked me if I'd be prepared to have my ears pierced, so that Sonja will be able to wear the same earrings as all the other models in some of the fashion show scenes. And, as I'd already been thinking again about maybe getting them done, I figured that maybe now was the time, so I said 'OK' and got them done a couple of days later.
Mischa: When I got to Hollywood I didn't know anything about the business and you don't make the best of friends. You make a few mistakes when you're that age and it took me a while to find the friends I needed to be truly comfortable. I'm a private person, you won't find more than four or five true friends around me, ever.
Mischa: (on what she's looking for in a guy) I'm looking for a guy who is confident with a great sense of humour - that's so important to me, as long as I can laugh I'm always happy. I like to be light-hearted in my down time, so for me it's all about some depth, intelligence and confidence. That's what matters the most.
Mischa: (denying she is a party girl) I know I look the part, and people used to come up to me in the street and talk to me as if I was a crazy party girl. But I don't go out clubbing because that whole thing is too claustrophobic. As for shopping, I'd rather walk my dogs, Ziggy Stardust and Charlie Barton. I cook a mean lasagne, and some people say my potatoes au gratin are pretty on fire. I guess some people are disappointed. I'm always being associated with other girls, but we're not in the same crowd. I have only met Paris Hilton once and that was in passing.
Mischa: It kind of irritates me that I'm seen as this pretty face. People also say I'm too thin. The truth is, pretty people aren't as accepted as other people. It comes with all these stigmas.
Mischa (on holidaying in the UK): I love all the mashed potatoes, the mushy peas and brussel sprouts. And oh my god, Cadbury's chocolate! It is so much better than Hershey's which we have in America.
Mischa: I like to play dark, offbeat, quirky characters.
Mischa: I'm not one of these people really into the latest fetishes like yoga or the Kabbalah. I can't imagine anything worse than wearing a trendy red bracelet around my arm and running around saying, 'I'm at peace with myself.'
Mischa: Sometimes men are scared of me. You know, you become kind of an icon on television, and people are a little bit unsure, careful. It's funny.
Mischa: I've had fellow actors tell me... You have to throw more tantrums!
