  • Quotes

    • Monica(talking about her single "Everytime Da Beat Drops"): "Beat Drop", for me, is a very good representation of where I'm from. Plus I really liked having a record that kids can enjoy. My music has always had a message. I guess it's been just a personality thing- I've always been extremely mature for my age. Always been kind of deep. But sometimes that goes right over the kids' head. And we all just want to dance and have fun. This is what I live. What I dance to. What I listen to when I'm in my car. So I thought, "Why wouldn't I sing over it?"

    • Monica: I started out as a little girl. Singing songs changed my world.

    • Monica: My image is me. I talk for myself. I didn't become this person others wanted me to be.

    • Monica: People assume nothing affects me. And I am extremely strong-natured. I stand with both feet planted firmly and don't bend. But I know now sometimes I need to bend.

    • Monica: My audience respects my honesty. They trust that what comes out of my mouth truly comes from my heart.

I absolutely loooove her and she is my idol and is one of my favorite singers. I looove all of her songs and I think she has great potential to be better if she continues to do what she's doing. She has also started a budding acting career by having small roles in big movie hits. She is from ATL which inspires a lot of people from the area that they can still make it as a star. I look up to her. She is a good role model for young women.moreless
