Back in the Smiths he was considered as a great singer, influentail and a big star. Now in his solo career he has carried it on. He still has a big fan base, and is still banging out great songs like First of the gang. He's still great live, and he's a great all round performer. I love his voice, some don't but I do. It may be differant but I think it is quite aesthically pleasing and tunefull and is easy to listen to. His songs are catchy and are songs that you can rest to, or dance to..He has rpoved along with Plant and Billy Idol that age doesn't matter and solo careers can be as succusful as bands. He hasn't lost anythign since his time with teh Smiths and lets hope his rocking for a while to come!moreless
