Natalie (on becoming a TV journalist): I went to university and hated it. My parents said I could leave if I got a job first, so I wrote to every newspaper, TV and radio station in WA. I got lots of rejections, but the editor of a local newspaper got back to me, and I landed a cadetship. I also took voice lessons before I got my first TV job in Kalgoorlie. It can take years to work your way up, but if you keep going, you'll make it!
