Nate's tour bus was stopped by police near Kingman, Arizona for going 85 mph in a 75 mph zone. A search of the bus revealed marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and stolen firearms. He was arrested and later freed on $3,500.00 bail.

Nate plead guilty to posession of an unmarked firearm and sentenced to three years of probation plus a thousand dollar fine in August, 2001. The initial charges of: arson, kidnapping, battery, terroristic threats, and domestic abuse were dropped when his ex-girlfriend refused to testify against her baby's father.
