Nestor Carbonell

Nestor was born in NYC but his family travelled frequently and actually Spanish was his first language. Carbonell enrolled at Harvard as an English major and first performed as a freshman. After graduating, he embarked on a career in acting and landed small parts on daytime TV and made his primetime debut on an episode of "Law & Order". Nestor was frequently cast as Hispanics or Europeans and continued to make guest appearances on "Melrose Place" and "A Different World" before he became a regular as Gianni, a handsome gigolo, on the ill-fated sitcom "Muscle". Later that year, he made his screen debut in "Love & Happiness", which only played at one theater in LA. Having been a loved comic, he soon landed the role of Luis Rivera, the too cool photographer, supporting Brooke Shields in the NBC sitcom "Suddenly Susan."
