Biography:

American actor Nicholas Braun, more popularly known as Cameron James in the TV adaptation, 10 Things I Hate About You, has been working the camera since he was six years old, when he acted as Good Morning America's on-camera reporter for the unveiling of the Christmas windows at Saks Fifth Avenue in New York City in 1994. Not long after, his father, actor Craig Braun, accompanied him to acting lessons which prepared the young Braun for appearances alongside his father in the student films Rocky & Pop's Search for the Holy Mackerel and The Sick Sense. As early as age 12, Nicholas was already cast as a title character, playing John Larroquette's son Henry in the Showtime TV movie Walter and Henry (2001).

While fulfilling his acting commitments, Nicholas attended high school at St. Mark's, located just outside Boston, Massachusetts. He participated in its drama program, performing in the school plays, Twelfth Night and Picasso. For three years, Braun was also a member of an a cappella group and was a solo vocalist during his last two years in St. Mark's. In 2004, he appeared in another Showtime production, Carry Me Home, alongside Penelope Ann Miller and Jane Alexander. After graduating in 2006, he enrolled at Occidental College in Los Angeles, California, but as film and TV projects poured in, Braun had to drop his course and focus on his acting career.

On prime-time television, Nicholas has guest-starred in shows like the CBS crime procedurals Without a Trace and Cold Case and the high school drama The Secret Life of the American Teenager. Braun's most notable movie role to date is the time-traveling high school student Zeke Thompson in the Disney Channel Original Movie Minutemen (2008), co-starring Jason Dolley and Luke Benward. He also top-billed in another Disney offering, Princess Protection Program, with popular teen stars Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez, in 2009, the same year he was tapped to portray Cameron, a Padua High freshman, in the ABC Family teen comedy 10 Things I Hate About You.
