Biography

Nick Slatkin was born on Janurary 26th in Baltimore, MD. He attended and graduated High School from The Park School of Baltimore, MD, where he was featured in many school performances and plays. Then Nick ventured up to Syracuse, NY, where he spent most of his collegiate years: taking pictures and writing for various Syracuse University affiliated publications, as well as dj'ing and hosting various on-air shifts, as well as co-hosting the Z Morning ZOO for 89.1 FM -WJPZ, Inc.

After his sophomore year at Syracuse, Nick decided to take some time off and enroll in the Walt Disney World College Program in Orlando, Florida. This was one of the greatest experiences of his life. He had the opportunity to work at Disney's Animal Kingdom and Disney MGM Studios, where he performed in front of thousands of people a day.

After he graduated from Syracuse University with a B.A. in Anthropology, Nick tried his hand at Sound Engineering and Recording Arts (once again in Central Florida) but found himself drawn back north to the world of photography.

This time his travels brought him to New York City, where he began interning for FHM (For Him Magazine) in the photo department. Nick had a blast working at FHM but his expertise was soon needed at the world reknowned Rollingstone Magazine. This was a dream come true. Nick had been specializing in concert photography for almost 3 years before this opportunity came about. After only a few months at Rollingstone a photograph of his was published.

At the suggestion of his mother, Nick began taking some acting classes. He enjoyed it so much and finally was getting the chance to work on one of his dreams. Nick decided that this time was as good as any to finally pursue his dream of becoming a Television and Film actor.

Acting in NYC was going fairly well, but for some reason California kept calling Nick. And in October of 2003 he made the move to the West Coast. His first day in town was spent working on a Ben Stiller movie, and he hasn't stopped working since.
