Nick: A person sent me something, it was like a letter that had been handwritten, but it was a copy, and it was blank where my name would be, and it was blank where the name of the show would be. It was like, (blank), you are my favorite actor on (blank). You could see my name was written in blue pen, and the name of the show, I thought it was hilarious, that person deserves a dollar or something.
Nick: I would be really nervous having any make-out scenes. Imagine, you don't know the person that well and you're supposed to kiss her and all this...
Nick: It's hard for me to judge "Roswell" for that reason. I can't say the show is fantastic, only that I enjoy working on it. But I don't buy it as a viewer, because as I watch, I know how many takes we did to get the scenes to work. I know everything that went into making it, because I was there. It's a shame, really. I know where the story's going, so I can't be surprised or affected by it. It's ALL fake to me.
Nick: (On William Sadler) I really admrie his acting ability. He is always in control and I try to live up to him.
Nick: (On shooting 'Roswell') There was one time when we did a scene where I was playing basketball and Liz confronts Kyle about something, and we walked to the edge of the court and the fence is no longer between us and we're standing face to face. And they are shooting over her shoulder, and they can't see what I'm seeing. And a fly flew around and landed right between her eyes, and it was a scene where we're supposed to be intense and all serious. And the funniest thing about it was that neither of us addressed it. It landed and I saw it, and I was trying so hard not to laugh, and I blew it and the director yelled at me.
Nick: (On family and friends) They are all supportive. I generally don't have the kind of friends...well, I haven't experienced any of my friends leaving me at this time. And I think this is the sort of thing that will show you who your friends are.
Nick: In middle school, I was really shy, nobody ever wanted to talk to me. High school was where I became the greatest guy in the world so a lot of people wanted to talk to me.
Nick: (When asked if he's the prankster of the cast of 'Roswell') I guess so, I'm not really a prankster, I don't put whoopie cushions down or anything, I just joke around, try to make people laugh on set, and it usually doesn't work. That's why it's funny you say that, it usually doesn't work, they laugh at me, not with me. So I just sit in my trailer...
Nick: (On the show 'Team Knight Rider') Honestly, what I remember most about 'Team Knight Rider' is the people I worked with. Anyone who has seen it knows it wasn't the greatest show, but some people liked it. I had fun. It was a good experience. Whether it turned out well or not is a different story.
Nick: One time I saw something that looked like it was flying, and I couldn't IDENTIFY it, so that makes it a UFO, doesn't it? But it could have been something on my contacts. Or I might have been drinking. Of course, I was in middle school at the time, and I wasn't a heavy drinker then, so who knows?
Nick: I was in New York one day and I asked some guy what time it was. He swore at me. It's also just so crowded there.
Nick: You'll be better for it, if you can just have confidence. That's something I've always known. I know I'll be better. I know plenty of actors who are arrogant and don't deserve to be. But because they are arrogant, they just perform better because they don't believe they can fail. I know I'm mortal and I explore it constantly, and because of that I get down on myself.
Nick: (On landing the role of Kyle on 'Roswell') It was like, 'Do you want a job?' It didn't matter what the pitch was. I had to get something because I was doing nothing. It sounded all right to me. I initially read for the role that Colin (Hanks) got. Then they called me back for the role that I ended up getting. ... I know it sounds kind of funny. OK, they're aliens and they're walking among us and they're in high school. My good friends are always picking on me about it.
Nick: (On being a famous actor) It's kind of strange. There are people who bring you water all the time. Why can't people get their own water? I don't get it.
Nick: I know plenty of actors who are arrogant and don't deserve to be. But because they are arrogant, they just perform better because they don't believe they can fail. I know I'm mortal and I explore it constantly, and because of that I get down on myself.
Nick: I hate listening to actors [invent their character's attributes]. It's like they're kissing their own asses about the stuff they added.
Nick: The more I would see movies that I didn't like, the more I would be like, 'I know I can do better than that'.
Nick: I love the ocean, it's not so much California's beach, it's just seeing this huge volume of water.
