She is pretty average as an actress. run of the mill looks wise. dime a dozen type. must have done eh em something to get the part. if her top lip gets any bigger it will touch her nose. don't get the attraction at all.
She is pretty average as an actress. Very run of the mill looks wise. A dime a dozen type. She must have done eh em something to get the part. If her top lip gets any bigger it will touch her nose. I don't get the attraction at all - each to their own I guess. On to Dark Blue it was a promising show when it started, season two is not so good. DMcD is surprisingly good in the lead - didn't rate him in The Practice. All in all it has become a below average yet another cop show that will fade into oblivion.
I only know Nicki Lynn Aycox from her work in Supernatural, but from what I saw of her in it, I thought she was really good! Whenever Meg was in an episode, I always got excited, because she was just such a fun character! Even though she was really evil, you must admit; You loved having her. Her acting skills were great, and she really fitted the part of Meg. I especially loved her in the episode 'Devil's Trap'. I thought she was unbelievable. The way she acted when Sam and Dean were performing the exorcism was just outstanding. No one else could have done it better.
I saw Nicki on \"Criminal Minds\" a few night ago. When she first appeared on screen, I thought, \"man, she is smokin\' hot\". No big deal, that probably happens every night. However, by the end of the show, her performance had blow me
Who could not have felt empathy for the victimized & abused Amber? As the complexity of Amber\'s persona evolved, an escapist could easily believe that Nicki herself was really the devil incarnate. If I may speak for personal experience? My ex-wife was diagnosed with Multiple Personality Disorder (MPD). During her final scene with Gideon, Amber pulled off the perfect \"switch\'* in mid dialogue. It was eerily compelling. Right out of the psychiatrist\'s textbook. Frankly, I cannot recall a more realistic performance on TV, ever. After the show, off I went to find out who she is.
Much to my surprise, I discovered that I had seen Nicki many many times. My biggest memory was of her playing Lily\'s sexy but troubled little sister on \"Cold Case\".The more I learned of her career & found photos of her, it soon became apparent that Nicki Aycox is as good a character actress as there is. The diversity of her roles & broad spectrum of varying looks in her filmography is amazing. I am now her biggest fan! So much so, I dedicated a blog on my myspace page to her. * switch, I was told by doctors, is the term used when a person with MDP morphs from one persona to another
Nicki is a brilliant actress and just amazing. I love her accent and just general presence. In supernatural she was an amazing baddie for the boys to fight. The flirting between her and Jared\'s character Sam was just really could. Nicki was really good a playing a b*t*h, but also had a sexy vibe. As meg, she was a wonder to watch. She really sold being a demon. I havent really seen her in other things apart from csi, but i would love to see more of her. Shame she died in supernatural. her and Jared were a real good paring. The chemistry wouldnt have worked with Jensen as well as it did Jared. Wooo Nicki!!!
Nicki Lynn Aycox has a tremendous range as an actress. During the season of Over There, she can played tough-as-nails combat vet, naive ingénue, and scared and at her wits end deserter.
“In-country” she is defiant, self-assured tough girl. She knows how to hold her own, and refuses to take guff from anyone. When she is called home to care for her autistic son, she goes decides to go AWOL because of a close call just before she was allowed to return. Once in L.A., she is naïve enough to be robbed by the first person to show her what she assumes is genuine affection. From there she sinks into being a scared waif. And all this happened in just two episodes.
It was good to see she shine in these episodes where she more screen time.
She is a fine actress and an elegant woman. I don't know how she manages to come off so tough and feminine at the same time. I wonder where she studied acting and if she has done any other notable work. Oh, ok i see that now. I love her!
