With a new single and album, Nikki Webster centainly has something to dance about.

At just 17 years of age, Nikki has already made an incredible mark on the Australian Entertainment Industry and has won hearts of many through out the world since her out standing performances at the opening and closing ceremonies of the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games.

However, the Sydney Olypmics was only another achievement in a career that had been developing since Nikki was a toddler. When Nikki was 6 years olds, she appeared in her

More first television commercial.

By the time Nikki turned 10, she had performed a duet with Michael Jackson, which she says "was a highlight of my career" and by the age of 12, Nikki had secured roles in four musical productions, including 'Young Cosette' in Les Miserables and 'Brigetta' in The Sound of Music.

Since then, Nikki has gone on to further her career by scoring the dream role of Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz alongside Bert Newton, which saw the troupe perform sell out shows throughout the east coast of Australia.

Whilst juggling school and performing, Nikki also secured herself an extremely successful music - recording career by continually producing gold and platinum hit singles. Her highly successful debut album Follow Your Heart produced the platinum hit single Strawberry Kisses and two more Gold singles Depend On Me and the third single The Best Days / Over the Rainbow.

Both the Follow Your Heart album and Strawberry Kisses single were ARIA nominated in the Highest Selling Album / Single categories in 2001.

Her second album Bliss continued the catchy pop theme, and featured the Gold selling single Something More Beautiful as well as the popular 24/7 Crazy 'Bout Your Smile.

From then on, Nikki has been inundated with recording offers, in particular from Disney, where Nikki was asked to record a version of the track I Wanna Be Like You for the Australian release of Disney's Jungle Book 2 soundtrack.

Since then Nikki has been working on her third album Lets Dance which is due for release in June 2004. She will also be releasing a single titled Lets Dance in the same month. Nikki says "is a little escape from everyday life". For Nikki this means school: she's in Year 11 and busy working toward her HSC - it would be hard to find a sixteen year old who's busier!

Dancing In The Street the first single from the new album, was released in September 2003.

Over the past four years, Nikki has made an indelible mark on the Australian entertainment industry with a 'Mo' Award in 2001, as well as receiving the Variety Heart Awards Young Entertainer of The Year.

While Nikki is not studying for her HSC, recording or performing, she spends time designing for her fashion range which is available through K-Mart stores and is now looking forward to showcasing her new songs and dance moves during her East Coast tour which kicks off on Monday 28th June and finishes late July.

She needs for credit. hide show

I love this girl! I first heard her song "Friends 4-ever" on an episode of Lizzie McGuire. Ever since I heard the song, I wondered who it was. I looked up the lyrics on goooooooogle and I found out that it was Nikki Webster. Wow wow wow! She has such a beautiful voice! She's so cool! I have got to get her CD on of these days. This lady obviously deserves way more credit. She has a lovely voice.
Oh yeah. She and I are the same age! She's just a couple months older than me. That is such a weird coincidence!
Oh my god I'm jealous! I wish my voice was as nice.

    Do you agree?
