Oscar Levant was crazy. A talented genius, but crazy. No one is going to try and sue me for saying that, he said so himself in the numerous autobiographies that he wrote.
He was a pianist, a game show panelist, an actor, a composer, a writer, and a hypocondriac.
Don't listen to me though, read one of his books. My personal favorite is "Memoirs of an Amnesiac," but "A Smattering of Ignorance" and "The Unimportance of Being Oscar" are both worthy of a read.
Once I am past the level 1 stage, I will add more quotes and trivia about this fascinating man.
