Owain Yeoman

Owain has a black Cocker Spaniel named Gracie.

Owain was the winner of the Henry Marshall Shield for Best Scene at the 2001 RADA Prize Fights.

Not only did Owain participate in rugby, rowing and hockey at college and university level, but he also represented Wales in Hockey.

Owain said that his heroes are his wife, Lucy, because of her subtlety to acting and Edward Norton because of his ability to change roles, which Owain has said to be what acting is all about.

Owain attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London with Jonas Armstrong, better known as Robin Hood in the 2006 series airing on the BBC.

Owain has stated that he only wants to learn and improve as an actor and is not driven by money or fame.

Owain applied at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff during his early 20s but was not accepted.

Owain initially was going to study Accounting at Havard University but then decided to go into acting after a change of heart.

Although Owain was passionate about acting, he never intended it be his profession.

Owain used to work as a banker in Canary Wharf, London.

While at Oxford University, Owain acted as the Scarecrow in "The Wizard of Oz" and directed "Othello" at the Oxford Playhouse.

Owain met his wife, Lucy Davis, through Patrick Baladi, a co-star in The Office with Lucy. After knowing each other for six months, Owain went to visit Davis' father, Jasper Carrott, in June 2006, to ask for his daughter's hand in marriage.

Philip Winchester was initially cast as the lead role in "Commando Nanny" (a show that was produced but did not air) however, he broke his foot after filming the pilot episode and Owain Yeoman replaced him.

In addition to English, Owain can speak intermediate Welsh, A-level French and German.

His first audition was for the film Troy and he was cast as Lysander, captain of the Trojan Army.

Owain is the son-in-law of actor/comedian Jasper Carrott.

On December 9, 2006, he married actress Lucy Davis at St Paul's Cathedral in London.

He graduated from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London.

His father, Mike Yeoman, is a nuclear physicist. His mother is Hilary Yeoman.

He has one sister, Ailsa.

He studied English Literature & Language at Oxford University in England.

His height is 6'4" (1.94m). His hair color is dark brown and his eyes are blue.
