In December of '99, he married a woman named Sidney.

His son, James Ripley, was born in August 2004.

He's the great-grandson of art historian Bernard Berenson, who helped assemble some of the greatest art collections in the United States.

He was named after his paternal grandfather Osgood Perkins.

He is 6'4".

His mother, Berry Perkin, was killed on board the terrorist-hijacked American Airlines flight #11 that crashed into the World Trade Center.

He is sometimes known as "Dorky David" because that's the role he played in his breakthrough film Legally Blonde.
