I have been a fan for only a few years, but I have come to know what a marvelous talent he is, and what a gentleman. I've read in interviews where he says how his family is his top priority, which is an admirable quality in show business these days. I agree he needs his own show (and his new show Rub & the Rockets is the closest to that) but he said he purposely strove not to be a big star and just wants to keep working because stars last only so long. Patrick has an official fanclub where I get the latest news about him at: www.patrickcassidy.net
I recently saw Patrick Cassidy in the Production of Joseph along with his wife. I cannot tell you how UNAWARE I was of his talent. He surely is a much stronger singer and actor then his brothers...

Patrick is someone with definite talent that Hollywood just hasn't found a use for. He can act, sing and dance but the opportunities to use this on the screen are very limited. He's an incredible presence on the stage and has been appreciated by theater-goers for many years. Yet every attempt to properly use him on television and in movies has not provided the proper vehicle for him. He has had some great guest-spots but deserves his own project to showcase his abilities.
Why this great actor/singer has never been given the TV platform -- his own show -- to shine escapes me. Patrick and his whole family (yes, the wife and kids are in the show!) are going back on the road with Joseph later this summer (2005) -- when he gets back, there'd really better be a bunch of pilots awaiting him!
