Patrick Warburton lept into pop culture consciousness as David Puddy, Elaine's on-again, off-again boyfriend on the hit sitcom Seinfeld in 1995, and has since then steadily found his deadpan talents in ever-greater demand. With his squinty eyes and hard-boiled detective's voice, Warburton has become a humorous personality who can generate giggles with almost no effort, whether onscreen or in voice-overs.

Warburton was born on November 14, 1964, in Paterson, NJ, and raised in Southern California, a son of little-known television actress Barbara Lord. The future Bugle

More Boy model studied marine biology at Orange Coast College, where he met his wife, Cathi, before dropping out to pursue modeling and acting at age 19. In his first screen appearance, the 17th century slave film Dragonard (1987), Warburton was subject to what is thought to be the longest onscreen flogging on film, a 100-lash scene that consumes nearly four minutes of screen time. He also appeared in the sequel, Master of Dragonard Hill (1989), before turning his attention to television.

Warburton had guest spots on such shows as Murphy Brown, Designing Women, Gone with the Whim, and Quantum Leap before scoring a recurring role on the short-lived Dave Barry sitcom Dave's World in 1993. But it was not until he appeared in the 1995 episode of Seinfeld entitled "The Fusilli Jerry" that Warburton really started to attract attention. As Puddy, Jerry's lunkhead mechanic who spits out dialogue in macho spurts, notably the catchphrase affirmation "Yeah that's right," Warburton quickly became a popular semi-regular, involved in a running joke about his frequent breakups and reconciliations with Elaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus). He stayed with the show until it finished in 1998, and provided the voice for Superman in a series of commercials starring Seinfeld.

Warburton had another recurring role as unscrupulous businessman Johnny Johnson on News Radio in 1999, then contributed his memorable voice to characters on the animated shows Family Guy, Hercules, and Buzz Lightyear of Star Command. By this time the big screen was really beckoning, as Warburton flexed his comic talents as a bodyguard in Scream 3 (2000), then toned them down as an American astronomer in Australia in The Dish (2000). His voice was again called upon, this time by Disney, for the role of a sorceress' thug assistant in The Emperor's New Groove (2000).

Going zanier than on Seinfeld, Warburton signed on as the star of the Fox sitcom The Tick, about a muscle-bound but dimwitted superhero in a blue costume, which premiered in the fall of 2001. High-profile projects in 2002 would include a role in the delayed ensemble farce Big Trouble and as Agent T alongside Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith in Men in Black 2. ~ Derek Armstrong, All Movie Guide

One of the best voice talents in the buisiness! hide show

No matter what this guy does, he cracks me up. I'm 56 years old and I've been known to be a regular fan of Disney's kiddie classic 'The Emperors New School' just to get a load of Kronk on Saturday morning, for God's sake! And he's absolutely perfectly cast as Joe Swanson on Family Guy...that show would never be the same without him. He can go from low key, pseudo-suave and smarmy one minute to raging and manic the next with perfect timing and without missing a beat. Warbuton's middle name ought to be campy, because he has a way of elevating camp to a fine art form. No matter what he's working on. Great talent!

OMG He is the best! hide show

I just love Patrick Warburton! His voice is just so funny and deep! He can play the dumb guy (Kronk), the tough guy (Mr. Barkin & Joe) and the funny guy (The Wolf, Kevin, & Kronk). He was great in The Emperor's New Groove and Bee Movie. If he wasn't in those movies, they wouldn't be nearly as funny if he wasn't in them.
And he is just so funny when he yells, like in Bee Movie, "Why Is Yogurt Night So Dificult?!" "I've Got Issues!" "You know what, I don't even like honey, I Don't Eat It!" "And just to let you know, I prefer sugar sweeteners Made By Man!....I know it has a funny after taste, I like it!" & "AWW! That Bee Is Taking Over My Life!!!" LOL He puts so much drama and expresion into his characters, the only actor that would maybe be better than him would be James Earl Jones.

Here's to you, Patrick Warburton :-)

He's a spectular actor but he's overused...... hide show

I love his acting but I would love a whole lot more if I saw him a whole less.....

    I seen him everywhere!!!!!

From Kids' WB! (the Batman) to Disney (Buzz Lightyear, Emperor's New School)

I just see him everywhere and it used to be funny but it gets scary to know that he's the only guy that can do deep
    voices well....

It's scary because if he's in an accident then most likely there will be no deep-voiced character.

I'm not just terrified but a little worried that he's overusing abilites to the extent that no one will tolerate him anymore........

He is a good actor but he's too overused.....

Seinfelt, Family guy and the emperors new groove is just a few of his hights in his carrere and im certain that there will be many many more. hide show

Every time this dude open up his mouth, i always end up on the floor laughing. His sleazy but very very humorous way to use his voice will make almost any movie a classic.

I was watching the "Emperors New Groove" and didnt have my hopes to high up, but when Kronk (voice acted by Patrick Warburton) came into the movie, it was just one hilarious movie from that point out.

He is one of the best voice actors around, no doubt about it, and if a new funny cartoon is looking for a voice actor, please put Patrick Warburton in one of the parts, and you will at least have me to watch the show.
