Paul Brinegar had a very long acting career which began back in 1946 with the and continued until 1994.
In the 40's he appeared on the big screen in Abilene Town (1946), Larceny (1948), Take One False Step (1949), Sword in the Desert (1949), The Gal Who Took the West (1949).
Paul continued his film career into the 50's and also began appearing on various tv shows such as "The Adventures of Jim Bowie" (1956), "Cheyenne" (1956), "Whirlybirds", "Alfred Hitchcock Presents", "Tales of Wells Fargo" (1957),
"The 20th Century-Fox Hour", "The Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp", "State Trooper", "Shirley Temple's Storybook" , "Lawman" , "Trackdown" and "The Texans".
Paul also co-starred with Clint Eastwood in Rawhide as "Wishbone".
In the 1960s, 70s, 80s and 90s, Paul continued guest starring on various TV series but not so much on the big screen. He did make a few films for Disney. The soap opera "Capitol" was the only show that he wasn't a guest star.
Paul's last appearance before his death was in 1994 film, Wyatt Earp: Return to Tombstone portraying Jim 'Dog' Kelly.
On March 27, 1995 Paul Brinegar died of emphysema in Los Angeles, California, USA. He left behind his wife Shirley and 2 children.
