Paul was nominated for the National Television Awards twice for his role of Joe Wicks on EastEnders in 1996 and 1997.
In June 2008, Paul got married to his long time girlfriend Chantal Brown. The couple met when Paul was dating a friend of Chantal's and lost touch when the friend and Paul broke up. In 2004, Paul and Chantal met again and they started dating at the start of 2005.
Paul: (On why he thinks his show "Harley Street" had poor figures for the first series and why he thinks it will have a second series despite that) It's a winter show really. We got lost stuck in the middle of summer and bosses know that now, thankfully.
Paul: (On whether he and his wife are planning to have children) We're planning to in the next few years, hopefully. I'd love to have loads but as I'm not the one popping them out, it'll be up to her!
Paul: (About the rough time he had after quitting "EastEnders") I was drunk for six months. I didn't deal with anything that was going on in my head, I just went out and got drunk.
Paul: (On how being famous very young changed him) I tried not to get above myself but it sort of went the other way. It was the same coin but the other side, which is just as pathetic. I became shy, introvert.
