The urgency this adds to the team's investigation of the journalist's death is nothing compared to their desperation when someone at the Jeffersonian is infected, and the only way to devise a cure is to solve the murder.

Booth and Brennan look into the murder of a Sierra Leone immigrant whose body was found at a hazardous waste facility stuffed in a barrel. At the lab, Cam and Arastoo's involvement is on the verge of discovery, while Booth and Brennan plan a vacation.

A mysterious young deaf girl is thought to have committed a recent murder after she's found on the streets, covered in blood and holding a knife. It's up to the Jeffersonian team to figure out who this girl is and determine if she's really the one to blame for the murder.

A woman from Afghanistan who suffered a serious fall while pregnant, may have trouble getting treatment because of a language barrier. Tom finally undergoes surgery for his elbow. Christina catches her daughter at home with an employee from the hospital.
Candy has great news to share with everybody, but has a decision to make; the question of why she arrived back in the states so early is finally answered.

In the fourth season finale, a murdered body is discovered at a popular nightclub called "The Lab." The Jeffersonian team takes on unusual roles, including the nightclub staff and law enforcement, in this dream-world episode.
