He was called on to become an extra in the movie Living Out Loud while doing PA work on the film set.

Pete's musical influences tend to be British groups such as T. Rex, The Cure, and The Smiths.

Pete's favorite guitarist is Johnny Marr from The Smiths and his favorite singer is Roy Orbison.

The first song Pete wrote was called "The One," in 1987.

If he didn't become a musician, he would want to be a fisherman. He wouldn't want to be an accountant.

The first song Pete learned on drums was "Dance The Night Away" by Van Halen when he was 9. "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" was the first song he learned on guitar when he was 12 or 13. And on bass, his first songs were "Blister in the Sun" and "Smoke on the Water".

Before making it as a recording artist, Pete worked as a bank teller and a production assistant for a company owned by Danny DeVito called Jersey Films.

Pete attended Montville High School in Montville, New Jersey. Pete studied tax law and political science at Syracuse University.

At age nine, he taught himself to play his older brother's drums and he started learning to play the guitar at age twelve.

Pete's father is a dentist while his mother was a concert pianist who later became a schoolteacher. His brother Kevin is an entertainment lawyer and Rick is the co-owner of Artists Management Group and also his manager.

His album, Nightcrawler features three previously released songs, "Splendid Isolation" was on the Enjoy Every Sandwich: The Songs of Warren Zevon album, and Bandstand In The Sky was on his live album, Live From New Jersey.

Known for his many appearances on many different tribute albums, from The Ramones, Warren Zevon and Junior Kimbrough, with a Replacements tribute album on the way.

He names his backing band, the first was, "The Dirty Birds" and his most current are, "Minibar."

His first 3 albums he said represent a day in the life, the trilogy is suppose to show the times of the day, musicforthemorningafter (2001) being the morning, Day I Forgot (2003) being the daytime, and finally, Nightcrawler being the evening (2006).
