Peter was somewhat of a prankster while in KISS. Once, as a joke, he left a trail of his clothes from his hotel room bed to the open window (Peter was hiding under the bed).
During an early KISS tour, someone threw an M-80 firecracker onstage, and blew Peter off of his drums. He couldn't hear for the rest of the night.
In his teen years, as the "war counsel" for a Brooklyn street gang, Peter was responsible for making weapons. When his grandmother discovered him making a zip gun, she broke a broomstick over his head (Chronicled in SPIN Magazine's KISS issue, 1998).
Peter co-wrote the ballad Beth, which was a top 10 hit for Kiss in 1976.
When Kiss adopted the use of makeup and costumes, Peter adopted the stage persona of the Catman.
Peter joined the pre-Kiss group, Wicked Lester in 1973.
As at 2008, Peter has been married three times and divorced twice. He was married to Lydia Di Leonardo from January 31, 1970 until their divorce in 1979, and married to Debra Jensen in December of 1979 until their divorce in 1984. Peter has been married to his current wife Gigi (Criss) since May 1998.
Peter is 5 feet, 9 inches tall.
Peter was the co-founder and original drummer for the rock band KISS. He left the group in 1980, with a substances abuse problem.
Peter: I'm from Brooklyn. I grew up very poor- seven people, four rooms. My dad had no education.
Peter: I heard some kid loses his stuff in a confessional booth. I don't know if I liked it - being a Catholic guy - but right here it's funny.
Peter: I finally got a chance to talk to my daughter from my previous marriage. I just got married May 3 to my beautiful wife, but we don't see each other much.
