Peter: When she [his wife, Jennie Garth] first came over for dinner, she started crying. She said, "Everybody's yelling at each other!" I explained that they were trying to get a word in edgewise and they talk passionately! Her family is quiet. Very Midwest. When they eat dinner, youcan hear a pin drop.
-
Peter: (how he unwinds) Taking a hot bath is always nice, especially when it's with my wife. We usually have fifteen to twenty minutes before the kids start pounding on the door! It gives us time to be in the same space, relax and really connect.
-
Peter: Its hard being man candy...but chewy in the middle.
-
Peter (about taking his wife to Sabo Can Lucas, Mexico): We had a romantic dinner on the beach. Wish you could have been there...wait no I don't.
-
Peter: I was a heartthrob? Someone should have told me!
-
Peter: My wife and I have been together for 13 years. I don't exactly know how we survive. I think it's just being fully committed to making it work. We have an amazing family, three beautiful children, a great house... We have our bad days but our good days outweigh them, and we try to remember how fortunate we are.
-
Peter:
Catherine (Hardwicke) is amazing. She is so passionate. And her passion is also another reason I wanted to be a part of the film (Twilight).
-
Peter: (on his and Elizabeth Reaser's on-screen chemistry) Elizabeth and I get along very well. I respect her as an actress, and we work well together. I think Carlisle and Esme's relationship is like an old married couple that are still completely and utterly in love and that is what we work to bring to the screen.
-
Peter Facinelli: (about his wife Jennie Garth) Sometimes I'll lose sight of her in the store, and then my eye catches her, and I'm like, "That is the most beautiful woman I've ever seen." Then I think, "God, that's my wife, I'm so lucky." Those kinds of moments hit me, and they hit me often.
-
Reporter:What kind of pets do you have?
Peter:
Jennie [Garth], my fiancee, is a huge animal lover, so we've got lots. We've got a rabbit. We've got horses and a goat. Oodles of poodles.
-
Peter Facinelli: There's nothing like coming home and seeing Luca Bella [his daughter with actress Jennie Garth]. I totally recommend fatherhood. It's wild. It's grounding.
-
Peter Facinelli: On an everyday basis, I'm just pretty casual. I like to get dressed up for a party, but I never want to be a suit guy. Suits are to stuffy for me.
-
(about his wife expecting their second baby)
Peter Facinelli: It's definitely going to be a growing period for me. I've got to learn to deal with things and juggle. I've done a lot of films, but I've done them one at a time. This is episodic and it's going to be very different on my schedule. To balance that with my family life will be a task, but one I'm looking forward to handling.
-
(on working with Spacey and DeVito in "The Big Kahuna")
Peter Facinelli: What was really inspirational to me was that both of them came on board and weren't bossy. They didn't tell the director where to put the camera or tell me how to act, they were ego-less.
-
Peter Facinelli: I've been very fortunate to have worked with a lot of great actors. It's like tennis; when you're playing with someone who's really good, it makes you raise your game.
-
Peter Facinelli: I like to surprise myself and try to push myself to play roles that are far from who I am. That's the fun for me.
-
Peter Facinelli:
(about the show Fastlane) I've done action, comedy and drama, but I've never had the opportunity to do it all at once. [With] this show, how can I get bored? I'm not a TV snob; I just never really thought about doing TV because…I don't want to do the same thing all the time. [But] this is a character I could explore for a while, because there's a lot of depth to him.
-
(
Speaking of the show Fastlane.)
Peter Facinelli: Van's cool and sexy, and gets away with a lot of stuff.
-
(
Speaking of the show Fastlane.)
Reporter: Where do they get the cars for this?
Peter: I think they rent those. You don't want to screw those cars up, so it's nerve-wracking driving them.
-
Peter Facinelli : Well, my biggest animal is little Luca Bella, my daughter.
-
Peter: I went to work every day with a smile on my face.
-
Peter: I literally am not thinking about where I am going when I'm driving.
-
Peter: She's my OnStar; she's my navigator. Sometimes if she is not in the car, I will drive around in circles for hours. (Speaking of his wife )
-
Reporter: What do you drive personally these days?
Peter: I have a Jeep Cherokee and a '62 Thunderbird convertible.
-
Peter: I want to look good. Why let yourself go and be eating tons of doughnuts at the craft service table? I think there is a certain responsibility.
-
Peter: To work with talented actors makes my job easier.
-
Reporter: With your various flying-all-over-the-place jobs, and pets, and your daughter--how do you keep it all together?
Peter: I don't know. It's a mystery to me. I think we're going to have to get a nanny just for the pets.
