Welcome to the TV.com Forums for Peter Jackson. Here is your area to discuss, dissect and debate all things about this person.
Peter Jackson, a brilliant director. He directed The Lord of the Rings Trilogy as well as the recent King Kong. These four movies are brilliant and will always be! He put in so much hard work to direct these movies and I respect him for that. He's also from New Zealand, just like myself. He has also directed some other movies, but I most likely haven't seen them. But still, Peter Jackson is known to be one of the best directors ever!
But one thing that I find sad is that he's producing the Halo movie. He is also working on a Halo project. This is showing how much of a fanboy he is to Halo. Don't get me wrong, I like Halo. In fact, Halo is a brilliant Shoot-em up. But I still find it overrated. There are so many fanboys in NZ for Halo, and Peter Jackson is an example. Everyone who makes fun of my interest, most of them are Halo fans.
Anyway, I'm getting carried away, aside this whole Halo thing, Peter Jackson is a great director!
Peter Jackson might not have been too great when he directed the Frightners but he has done the best producing and directing out of every movie I have seen when he did the Lord Of The Rings trilogy. They are the best movies in history and probably the hardest and most time consuming to make and he did it brilliantly. He stuffed up with King Kong because he was now so popular but it wasn't good.
Peter Jackson is one great director. A lot of his projects are really important, I enjoy movies such as The Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers and Return of the King, King Kong, and The Frighteners. I really think that he is one great director and I am glad that he finally had the appreciation he deserved. I love his style.
Peter Jackson directed, King Kong and the Lord of The Rings Trilogy, both are extemely long and extremely good, he is one director who can make a 3 hour movie enjoyable, none-stop action, thrills, and humor from beginning to end. he made all 3 lord of the ring movies even longer with the release of the extended versions, not to methion King Kong is about 3 hours long which proves that Peter Jackson is not afraid to make a movie and not miss a detail, and even get invloved in his movies by playing cameos, too bad he didn't direct a Harry Potter movie, then we would see a movie thats like the book.
Overall a talented, and very funny director.
