The Kiwi actor has endless credits to his name in film and television, both in New Zealand and overseas.

Films in which he has featured include A State of Siege, Middle Age Spread, Kingpin and Bridge to Nowhere, while television dramas include The Governor, Gold, Children of Fire Mountain, Open House, Star Runner, Shark in the Park and Steel Riders.

Between 1973-1991, McCauley was a professional actor working at theatres throughout New Zealand, include the Mercury in Auckland, Downstage and Circa in Wellington and the Court in Christchurch.

Between 1979-1982 he worked in theatre in Britain and Europe. He toured with the Downstage production of Hedda Gabler, performing at the Edinburgh Festival and in London, Oslo and Sydney.

But McCauley has also worked behind the camera in film production and film editing for the BBC and production management on independent productions.

A well-travelled actor, he has done film work in France, Belgium and Luxembourg.
