Peter Onorati, a graduate of Lycoming College(B.A., Business Administration) and Fairleigh Dickinson University (MBA) once seriously considered a football career, was employed in the business sector by the Ford Motor Company and McCall's, then discovered that he was funny. (He used to appear as Sol Kipperman, half of a set of Hassidic Siamese Twins, his other half, Hershcel Kipperman, being portrayed by Gary Richman.)
Onorati went on to work in film and TV in both comedy and drama. He sang his way through Stephen Bochco and William M. Finkelstein's gritty, quirky and fleeting Cop Rock (1990) as the complex Det. Vincent LaRusso, and shone as divorce attorney Charlie Howell in Bochco/Finkelstein's almost-as-short-lived but celebrated ABC series Civil Wars(1991-93). Although he has performed in over 70 films and TV series, he appeared as himself in Daniel Snyder's 2004 documentary Flops 101: Lessons from the Biz.
Now a Los Angeles resident, Onorati has made been keeping busy, with no fewer than four 2006 guest appearance (so far) in TV series/movies (Conviction, "The Wall"; Jesus, Mary and Joey, "Jamie," AKA "Welcome Back Miss Mary"; Gold Fever, "The Mark", and Las Vegas, "Cash Springs Eternal" and 10 in 2005. He is featured in three upcoming releases: Price to Pay, El Cortez and All In. He and his wife, writer, Jeanette Collines, have three sons, including a pair of twins.
