Phil Keoghan

I've only started watching The Amazing Race this year, in 2006; it's a great show, and Phil, the host, just makes me laugh. I've never seen anything else that he's done; TAR is it for me, and I find him hilarious! He's always so serious, and deadpan when he tells the racers where they've come in in the race.



Yet he gets to travel to all kinds of great places and see the country while the racers are off doing their tasks. What a great job! How do I get a job like that? Man, I have no idea what kind of time he put in doing other jobs in the tv industry, but Phil's got it made with his hosting job on TAR. He's on camera for just a few minutes of every episode, but they're crucial moments. Everyone wants to meet Phil!

IMO, Phil is right up there with Jeff Probst.

One of the talented original reality show hosts.

Very kind but also has too add "tough love" to his wearing many hats.

Also like the other poster says, very handsome.

Love his accent as well.

Been to almost every country and seems like all seven continants on the earth.

Would love to have his kind of job.

And most of all, get paid for what he's doing!

Phil is most definitely one of the best reality tv hosts out there today. From his perfectly tousled hair to his super sexy New Zealand accent, it's no wonder teams are so eager to get to the end of each leg. Phil is always there, at the mat (usually with some horribly exploited cultural Other), with a wise word or two for each arriving team. If you've ever seen his online photo album, you will find out that he also has a delightful sense of humor about himself and about the show. The only time Phil faltered was with one of the more psychotic Jonathan and Victoria moments. Even then, though, he managed to eek out the advice that Jonathan might want to check on Victoria. What a guy.
