Biography
Phil "Fang" Volk was the original bass player for Paul Revere and the Raiders 1965-1967 when the majority of their hit records were released. Such as KICKS, HUNGRY, GOOD THING, HIM OR ME, UPS AND DOWNS, STEPPING STONE, and JUST LIKE ME. The Raiders were seen every week day on WHERE THE ACTION IS. The group also appeared on many music/variety shows of the time like, ED SULLIVAN, HULLABALOO, SMOTHERS BROTHERS,AMERICAN BANDSTAND, and even BATMAN.
After his time with the Raiders, Phil formed the Brotherhood, which also included ex-Raiders, Michael "Smitty" Smith, and Drake Levin.
After this, he traveled for a time with Rick Nelson and the Stone Canyon Band. He then formed the Phil Volk -Tina Mason band and they played several years at the Disney parks. Later, he starred in the broadway type musical, "BLAST FROM THE PAST" which played all over the country as well as cruise ships for about 9 years.
Now he has formed a new band, FANG AND THE GANG. Right now they are playing in several show rooms in Las Vegas.
