    After this season of 24 and finding Powers Boothe to be one of the high points, I was dismayed to see that the producers are going with a female president for next season. Maybe it was just my imagination, but I thought they had signed Boothe for two seasons. Does this mean he's still on as the veep? I thought it was nice having him in power. It was refreshing to see a president who didn't roll over for Jack Bauer on every occasion. It could be the producers just want to do a clean start after the abysmal Season 6, but I hope they don't jettison cast members who make the show strong, and Powers Boothe is definitely one.

    Well, it is official. Cherry Jones has been cast as the next 24 president. From what I have read, this upcoming season will be a real overhaul of the series. While that does sound intriguing, I wish the producers could have kept a role for Powers Boothe.
