On August 29th, 2011, the home Rachel and her husband Adrian own in Santa Monica, California, was slightly damaged when a light aircraft taking off from the local airport crashed into it. Rachel, Adrian and their children were not there at the time, and the student pilot flying the plane was rescued by painters who were working on the house.
