Rachel Stevens

Rachel (on what to eat for lunch): I wanna go for the sea bass but I've just seen it being gutted and it slightly put me off.

Rachel: I didn't want S Club to end - none of us did - but in a bigger way we knew that we all wanted to do our own stuff.

Rachel: I would love to be in Baywatch! I can just see myself running through the sand, Hasselhoff could rescue me from drowning!

Rachel: I would love to work with someone like Kevin Spacey as he could pass on what I need to learn.

Rachel: I'd love to break America, like all artists do. It's a lot of work but, you know, it's got to be done!

Rachel: In S Club I played a role in a band, but now I can go off and be me - My horizon's wide open now.

Rachel: It's scary and it's daunting, but it's an absolute thrill. I feel brand new!

Rachel: It's a huge move for me to be going solo, but I'm looking forward to the challenge.

Rachel: It's nerve-racking having been surrounded by six friends for four years.

Rachel: Songs like Reach and S Club Party are pop classics. I'm really proud that I had a part in them.

Rachel: I can be very passionate but I also have a bit of a hot temper - when pushed.

Rachel: They were getting gunged at the end of the show and I was just getting ready to run because I thought they were going to jump on me. I was getting ready to get out the way because I had places to go that day. I didn't want to get covered in gunk. So I just left.

Rachel: I'm just doing my thing and I'm really proud of myself and the singles I'm releasing. I'm very excited about the new one as well, I Said Never Again. I'll just keep at it.

Rachel: I had to be covered in mud. I don't know how my character gets like that, I'm just really dirty. We filmed it in Amsterdam, it was freezing cold and I had to go in the canal. It wasn't very glamorous, put it that way.

Rachel: Right, it says here I'm too polite for a pop star. What does that mean? Isn't it nice to be polite?

Rachel: Of course, there's nothing like a bit of swearing now and again.

Rachel: No, I'm definitely not a drinker, I've never even been drunk. I've just this massive phobia of being sick ever since I can remember. To be honest I haven't even been sick for over 10 years, and that was when I was ill. What's it like?

Rachel: Well, I can actually quote the whole of Pretty Woman from beginning to end. But I'm not doing it now, it's too early. You know the bit where she goes back in the shop the second time? You don't know what I'm talking about do you? Basically, I love films where everything is great and life is good. I love movies, and if the right thing comes along I'm so interested.

Rachel: Actually, you know what I want more than anything? A gay best friend - just like Stanford in Sex and the City.
