Rebecca Romjin (pronounced "Romaine", like the lettuce), a California native, is mostly remembered as being clad in flimsy lingerie in Victoria Secret catalogues, in body paint as Mystique in the X-Men movie series, and in fashionable clothing as Alexis Meade on Ugly Betty. The supermodel-turned-actress is daughter to Jaap Romijn, a Dutch-born custom furniture maker, and Elizabeth, a community college English teacher and textbook author. She has a younger sister named Tamara. Rebecca majored in music atMore University of California Santa Cruz in 1995, but later signed up with a modeling agency in San Francisco. Soon after, she gave up her studies to become a full-time model. Because of her height, for which she was once nicknamed "Jolly Blonde Giant", and her stunning looks, Romijn found herself walking the glamorous catwalks worldwide and gracing the pages of fashion catalogues and magazines.

Rebecca immediately became a fashion sensation as she donned the fabulous garbs by Christian Dior and Escada. An endorser of several other products and companies throughout the '90s, she was frequently spotted in print ads and billboard campaigns, most notable of which are her appearances as the fantasy girl in Miller Lite's advertisements and the girl with the milk moustache for the Got Milk? national campaign. She has also consistently ranked in the world's most beautiful women lists of AskMen.com, Maxim, and FHM. After achieving the status of a certified fashion icon along with the likes of Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell, Christy Turlington, and Claudia Schiffer, she slowly made her way into the world of entertainment. In the late '90s, Romijn hosted MTV's House of $tyle and played Adrienne Barker in several episodes of Just Shoot Me.

In 2000, Rebecca made the biggest break of her acting career as she crawled into the blue scaly skin of the shape-shifting mutant villain Mystique in the blockbuster movie X-Men. It was a character that she would later reprise in X2 (2003), and X-Men: The Last Stand (2006). Her other notable movie roles include portraying a con artist who steals the identity of a dead woman in the crime thriller Femme Fatale (2002) and the mother of a cloned child in Godsend (2004). In 2007, she was introduced as the scheming sexually-reassigned brother of Daniel Meade (played by Eric Mabius) on Ugly Betty. In 2009, Romijn, along with Lindsay Price and Jaime Ray Newman, wears her pointy hat and waves her wand as one of the witches of Eastwick, Roxie Torcoletti.

I loved her as pepper dennis. I think she is absolutely gorgeous. She was a way better actress than expected. I think she has an amazing style. She's just beautiful. I think pepper dennis was the perfect role for her, she was very convincing. I think her and jerry o'connell make a really weird couple, but they're really cute together. I really like her!!
