Reese Witherspoon: (on what was going through her head when she had just won the Oscar for Best Actress) Oh, no! Oh, no! Oh, no! I hope I don't have to say anything! You know, it's really hard for me. One of the hardest things about this movie (Walk The Line) was talking in front of a large group of people- or singing in front of a large group of people. I'm used to a filmmaking experience which for me has always been very small and intimate, with never more than 50 people watching your performance. So for me it was a great sort of accomplishment to just learn to stand in my own shows, and in my own self, and be proud of myself... it's different for me.
